This weekend I was lucky enough to go the #NatureRemix instawalk around Braamfontein with Yoliswa Mqoco, Alexi Portokallis and Sheldon Evans for the launch of Strongbow in South Africa. The cider is all about bringing nature back to the city, so they kicked off the day with an amazing butterfly effect experience- thousands of paper butterflies floated and tumbled down on to Neighbourgoods Market’s rooftop! The paper was biodegradable with seeds so it can be planted and the experience was a delight. There was also a beautiful installation of handmade origami butterflies from White On Rice, a Cape Town based origami company started by Ross Symons.
Then a bunch of us went on the instawalk through town with our hosts. There were some incredible people with us and it’s so great to see the city during Spring while everything looks so fresh. After that, we headed to a rooftop party with panoramic views and pretty faces and outfits everywhere. It was a great start to summer even if the weather didn’t oblige in the morning.
